Episcopal Collegiate School students with pasta trays

On April 18, nine Episcopal Collegiate School students prepared and assembled a total of 170 dinners for Potluck Food Rescue’s Kids Pantry program.

In the 2015-16 school year, ECS students made a total of 790 meals, 100 brownies from scratch for Potluck’s annual fundraiser and raised $219 themselves through a bake sale to fund next year’s program.

Potluck serves community food programs throughout central Arkansas and the state including: children’s programs, women’s emergency shelters, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, organizations serving displaced veterans and Hispanic families, senior day centers and food pantries.

A special shout out and thank you to Chef Will Hutchison at ECS who shared his chef’s tips for cooking massive amounts of pasta and to Whole Foods who donated 70 pounds of pasta to the events this year.

Thank you from Kids Cookin’ for a Cause! for another successful year!
